Security Operatives & Patrons Sometimes Get Close!
In hospitality there are often moments when security operatives need to intervene and take control of situations. The highest and most compelling priority for Exact operatives is to resolve these situations verbally, through rational discussion and persuasion.
There are times when more stringent action is needed. This “last resort” action is applied if there is a threat of:

- escalation or expansion of conflict,
- other patrons or staff having their safety jeopardised,
- serious damage to the venue – the property, the brand or the licencing conditions.
In the current environment the risk is higher and the consequences of failure are more onerous than ever before.
During those moments of confrontation close contact between security operative and the subject(s) is almost inevitable and clearly if a physical eviction is required the potential for COVID transmission is increased.
Our aim is always to have operatives who can assume control as quickly as possible and with minimal physical contact.
We plan to take this a step further with a device that will enable our operatives to minimize both the contact and the duration of contact during those times.
Increasing COVID Safety During Confrontations.

The device, called the Centurion Control Stick, is quite small and fits into the pocket, much like a pen. It has been examined and tested by authorities who have declared there are no provisions preventing security licensees from possessing and using the product.
Furthermore, the Control Stick accepted by our insurers for our Public Liability coverage. With reduced risk of injury, though, claims on public liability are likely to reduced as a result of its use.
To fill you in a bit further the Control Stick is a simple device that allows the security operative to efficiently and safely apply pressure that will cause immediate compliance.
It is extraordinarily safe – US law enforcement departments have used the device for years without causing any injury or successful legal action.
